For know the user can choose between 3 anaglyph modes (red/cyan, red/blue, and red/green). As well you can save all stereo-images as anaglyphs or as Side-By-Side images for parallel and/or cross-viewing. The application runs only on the iPhone; if you're looking for something similar to use on the iPod Touch the 3DeeVUsion is suggested.

Wazabee (TM) 3DeeVUsion avaible at iTunes

Today was a great day. Seriously it is one of most fascinating artists I've seen the last time. In general he is into pin-hole photography. That's cool I love this stuff. But he is building his own cameras - even better. Now it comes: most of his cameras using human skulls as body.
AND Ladies and Gentlemen - One Thing More:

He build a Stereo Pin-hole Camera called 'Yama' (Tibetan Skull Camera). The camera works (fine; I have to say - regarding to the displayed images on the website). He is not that freak as he appears on the first glance - he is a genius engineer. The Yama the Tibetan Skull Camera uses a pneumatic system to move the film. I don't want to quote his website, please go to link and have look onto it.

For me the camera is definitly a Must Have Object.

The artist Wayne Martin Belger needs more exposure; behind the skulls is a solid founded philosophy about to do arts and photography. His work was published by magazines like, Bizarre, Juxtapoz, B&W and others. I was going behind everything I could found on the web. It is simply fascinating. The magazine will be published quarterly and is initiated by the canadian editor and publisher Rosanna Ciulla. For now is planned to release "In My Bed" online - in future we will have a printed issue as well. Release date for the premier issue will be April 21, 2008. We invite all writers, painters, illustrators, poets, photographers and artists who imagine beyond their means, to GET INTO BED before March 7, 2008.

About "In My Bed" magazine:
What is IN MY BED? IN MY BED Magazine is a sexy and sensual online literary arts magazine that will arouse and submit to the imagination of writers, artists, and readers at hand. Together, we will curiously explore, observe, and exhibit themes in an experimental and abstract manner unlike traditional and obvious erotica.
Sex should never be a nemesis but rather be the lust and skin of life. Sex is an exposition and haven that is so dear to humanity. Sex is a form of art. It is that touch, feel, taste and sight for artistic and natural expressions.
IN MY BED Magazine will either push people's buttons or push your lover up against the wall.
IN MY BED Magazine will be a kind of literary promiscuity to enjoy on a quarterly basis while drinking a good cup of coffee, smoking a cigarette, somewhere downtown, on a university campus, or in your bedroom.

Dust-D-Bugger Shop

Finally we have the first version of the Dust-D-Bugger Shop (http://www.dust-d-bugger.com/) online. ISBN-13: 9781551522258
These book is definitly a must in every stereo-photography collection. The first artist I've met was Catto Houghton http://www.cattostrophe.net/. Very cool stuff - I saw an impressive triptych of Gwen Stefani. I have a lot of pictures from my trip - will update the Blog in the next days. There a lot taken in Toronto - and few ones from Halifax. The most impressive what I saw, was the new bulding of NSCAD close to Pier 21 in Halifax. I love the work of architect Brian MacKay-Lyons very much - one of my favorite houses in Halifax in done by him and/or his company (http://www.mlsarchitects.ca/).

Cool Gadget #001: OQO e2

Today I did a closer look at the OQO device - model e2, the smallest full-featured PC. OQO (http://www.oqo.com) is a San Francisco based company. The founder Jory Bell was working in the design-department of Apple and did hands on the G3. The OQO model e2 is cheaper than similar Mobile Internet Devices - and the excellent design should work - in my eyes the best of all these Ultra Mobile PC's and/or MID's. Very cool looks the docking station with integrated DVD+RW/RAM. By the way the OQO design is by Nick Merz a former Apple guy. Amazing is the full HD support (1080 !!!) via HDMI interface. Best of all - comes with embedded HSDPA mobile broadband capability, unfortunatly only for people in Europe and Asia (yeahh - I live in Germany). The north-american continent is relativly underdeveloped with available high-speed Internet connectivity.

Definitly a "Build For Me Item". Would be nice to have auto-stereoscopic SeeFront 3D optics by Spatial View for it - to watch Sensio 3D DVD's without glasses. No problems at the immigration - the often I go to Canada it goes faster. Yesterday I was thrue after 30 seconds. After picking up my luggage I was going straight downtown to the Spatial View office. Like every time I took the bus - the airport express. Approximately at 6 pm I was in my appartment in the Bloor/Yonge area. I've had to go to the grocery store - there is a Rabba on my street - open 24 hrs a day. But I've decided to go at first Book City at Yonge Street. A very small bookstore with special pricings on books - mostly design, art, comics stuff and a lot of international magazines and newspapers. I've bought the actual print with a cover made by Nicholas Blechman (he is the husband of one of my wifes bests friends in NY). Addidtional I've had the Coupe #017, the actual Believer and a book about Virginia Lee Burton in my basket. In 2006 I've got her children's book "Katy the Snowblow" in Boston Cambridge in used book store. The Coupe Mag (http://www.coupe-mag.com/) is fascinating with their annual design competition.

In the coupe mag is a anaglyph 3D add campaign for Mini from the Toronto based Taxi 2 design office (http://www.taxi.ca/)

Yesterday I did some shots with my new Sony Cybershot handy - it is quiet good and very small and a smaller camera as well. It is a good add a new one to my stack: a Nimslo four-eyed stereo camera to use with slide film from the 80's. I will add the photos later the day.

The next small project I want do: to make multiple shots with my Cybershot and create with the Spatial View software stereo 3D photos for their 5 view multi-user displays.

Party at Hagen Bäckers new studio

Some photos from Hagen Bäcker's studio party. Please bear in mind we're just starting. "We" are Anka Mizera our CSS Mastermind, Michael Rammelt our Head of Platform Development and me, Bernhard Schipper. I'm doing the business development and looking for new artists.
Tonight I will go to a friend of mine - the german artist Hagen Bäcker. He is doing a party for all his friends, cause he has moved to a new studio and we have recently published a book about his actual work. beside this the designer of the book was Susanne Richwien - a Leipzig based book designer and member of Buero Total. Hagen is one of the featured artists at Dust-D-Bugger. The first one who has joined our platform. I know him for years, from some activities when I've had a art-gallery in Leipzig (the former INTERDRUCK gallery) - I've organized two exhibitions with him. The new plans are to sell his artworks and from others on a virtual way at Dust-D-Bugger like royalty free and/or rights managed content as well the physical originals at Dust-D-Bugger (it depends on the artists). We hope to go online with the first stage this year. The idea is quiet interesting, cause beside the famous painters from Leipzig, there is a whole bunch of others and until now unknown artists. Maybe we can do good business tonight - if not we'll have a excellent party - this is guaranteed.
