Today was a great day. In morning I found in my inbox news I very appreciate: "Your application status is Ready for Sale". Apple approved the first of three application we were working on the last couple month. At Spatial View we're working on a couple of new products related to the iPhone and iPod Touch. Under Spatial View's consumer brand Wazabee (TM) we'll introduce at Macworld 2009 (Booth 4119) a new product line related glasses-free 3D viewing.

Wayne Martin Belger
Just few days ago I found in a Flickr group a link to the website: BOY OF BLUE INDUSTRIES: The Art of Wayne Martin Belger. Seriously it is one of most fascinating artists I've seen the last time. In general he is into pin-hole photography. That's cool I love this stuff. But he is building his own cameras - even better. Now it comes: most of his cameras using human skulls as body. Stereo 3D images on Flickr

I've put recently a bunch of new stereo images on my Flickr account. More will follow. I used my cell phone, a Sony Erricsson K770i to shot these. It was just a trial - and I'm impressed by the quality. Guys if you are interested - have a look and give your comments. http://www.flickr.com/photos/dust-d-bugger/

In My Bed Magazine #2

In My Bed Magazine
About "In My Bed" magazine:
What is IN MY BED? IN MY BED Magazine is a sexy and sensual online literary arts magazine that will arouse and submit to the imagination of writers, artists, and readers at hand. Together, we will curiously explore, observe, and exhibit themes in an experimental and abstract manner unlike traditional and obvious erotica.
Sex should never be a nemesis but rather be the lust and skin of life. Sex is an exposition and haven that is so dear to humanity. Sex is a form of art. It is that touch, feel, taste and sight for artistic and natural expressions.
IN MY BED Magazine will either push people's buttons or push your lover up against the wall.
IN MY BED Magazine will be a kind of literary promiscuity to enjoy on a quarterly basis while drinking a good cup of coffee, smoking a cigarette, somewhere downtown, on a university campus, or in your bedroom.

3D Movie shooting in Cologne
Last weekend (February 1st and 2nd, 2008) we at Trimaris Ltd. did a 3D movie shooting in Cologne - primarily for use on auto-stereoscopic multiuser 3D displays. We've used a 5 lens camera by Muvi 3D (http://www.muvi3d.de/). The german actor and puppeteer Jürgen Wicht (http://www.wicht-theater.de/) was playing the german fairytale "Rumpelstilzchen" (Rumble Stiltskin) by the Grimm Brothers. We were happy to have Nils Trümpener on-board working as Director and Cinematographer. Sound engineer Friedrich Wohlfahrth (http://www.guddu-guddu.de/) did the audio-recording. You can see a documentation at http://www.flickr.com/photos/23500319@N02/sets/72157603856439991/.

ISBN-13: 9781551522258These book is definitly a must in every stereo-photography collection. As well it comes with a lot gender and/or photo history related text material.
PhotoEd Magazine - 3D special
Yesterday I've bought the winter 2007 issue (#21) of the Toronto based magazine PhotoEd. A full magazine of 3D topics. And the best of it: It explains very simple what 3D / Stereo-Photography is and gives a easy to understand introduction and overview in the most 3D topics. The mag comes with anaglyph cardboard glasses. You can buy it in canadian bookstores or at their website: http://www.photoed.ca/Monday, January 14, 2008
Ilene Sova - Canadian Artist # 002
The other artist I've met was Ilene Sova http://www.ilenesova.ca/. One of the best things in art I have seen in the last time. I was deeply impressed about the quality, crafts and concepts behind her paintings. A small hint: BUY, BUY, BUY.
Catto Houghton - Canadian Artist # 001
Last night I went to a studio of severeal independent emerging artists in Toronto. The first artist I've met was Catto Houghton http://www.cattostrophe.net/. Very cool stuff - I saw an impressive triptych of Gwen Stefani. Her work needs to displayed in Juxtapoz or Lodown. Mostly she is painting people around and/or in her life - friends, DJ's and soon. It is a question of time that she get the attention of the big guys and celebrities.

Flash
During the flight back I was watching thru the windows, and got an idea to solve the existing problems in 2D/3D conversions.
Last night the sky was nearly without clouds and I've had a wonderful view on the sleeping united states. Due some circumstances in the atmosphere I saw the city lights in shiftet layers and different heights. It was something like an optical irritation. And I've got an idea. I will keep you updatet on this.

Snow - Toronto Pics #005
View from my balcony - with "my " first snow this year: 2007-11-22. The 17th floor view. I love tall buildings - could be not high enough.
Currently I'm working on the auto-stereoscopic 3D presention of Hagen Bäckers artwork for the new building of the Music Academy in Dresden. I struggle with lights in these huge 3D model. I found some very good camera views - the 3D is excellent - only the lightning sucks totally. Once if I have the lights in final position I will do the camera moves.
