Wayne Martin Belger

Just few days ago I found in a Flickr group a link to the website: BOY OF BLUE INDUSTRIES: The Art of Wayne Martin Belger. Seriously it is one of most fascinating artists I've seen the last time. In general he is into pin-hole photography. That's cool I love this stuff. But he is building his own cameras - even better. Now it comes: most of his cameras using human skulls as body.
AND Ladies and Gentlemen - One Thing More:
He build a Stereo Pin-hole Camera called 'Yama' (Tibetan Skull Camera). The camera works (fine; I have to say - regarding to the displayed images on the website). He is not that freak as he appears on the first glance - he is a genius engineer. The Yama the Tibetan Skull Camera uses a pneumatic system to move the film. I don't want to quote his website, please go to link and have look onto it.

For me the camera is definitly a Must Have Object.

The artist Wayne Martin Belger needs more exposure; behind the skulls is a solid founded philosophy about to do arts and photography. His work was published by magazines like, Bizarre, Juxtapoz, B&W and others. I was going behind everything I could found on the web. It is simply fascinating. If you are more interested he runs a well done website, with press-release and news and a gallery list.

Comin' At Ya! - The homoerotic 3D photographs of Denny Denfield

Second book I've bought yesterday: "Comin' At Ya!" - The homoerotic 3D photographs of Denny Denfield by David L. Chapman and Thomas Waugh. I have seen some of the Stereo-Realist slides before on eBay. Now is a full book incl. stereo-glasses availabe - published by Arsenal Pulp Press (http://www.arsenalpulp.com/) in Vancouver, Canada. ISBN-13: 9781551522258
These book is definitly a must in every stereo-photography collection. As well it comes with a lot gender and/or photo history related text material.

PhotoEd Magazine - 3D special

Yesterday I've bought the winter 2007 issue (#21) of the Toronto based magazine PhotoEd. A full magazine of 3D topics. And the best of it: It explains very simple what 3D / Stereo-Photography is and gives a easy to understand introduction and overview in the most 3D topics. The mag comes with anaglyph cardboard glasses. You can buy it in canadian bookstores or at their website: http://www.photoed.ca/

Toronto - Girls Night Out

Very, very cool anaglyph 3D vinyl-cover "Girls Night Out" by a band called "Toronto" - neat. One of funniest pieces in my 3D collection. I've bought this last year very cheap. Guess this is to funny for the real 3D addict. I've got this last year from DrT 3D (look for 3d-drt-3d or try this link: http://stores.ebay.de/DrT-3d_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amefsQ3amesstQQtZkm) - he has one of the best 3D shops at eBay you can find in the internet.

Canada Trip

Tomorrow I will go to Toronto the last time this year. Probably I will go as well to Halifax in the next weeks to discuss with friends there Dust-D-Bugger activities in Canada. In Halifax is an excellent art academy - the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD University) http://www.nscad.ns.ca/ and I have friends there: the Page & Strange art-gallery http://www.pageandstrange.com/. They have an wonderful portfolio.

A huge part of my stereo 3D collection - mostly Realist and/or glass slides as well a lot of 3D comics - is storaged in Halifax - I have to organize the shipping to germany.

Beside this: the party on saturday at Hagen Bäckers new studio was quiet excellent and a lot of fun - I did some photos and will upload the stuff in the next days - right now I'm pretty busy to prepare the flight to Canada.
